I just got a new fountain pen (my first) that has a cartridge ink system. As this is the first time I’ve ever had a fountain pen, I have no idea how to put in an ink cartridge, and I don’t want to mess up and damage my pen.
So, I’m wondering how you put in an ink cartridge into a fountain pen, and if there’s anything special I should do (to the pen or ink cartridge) if the pen is brand new.

Only the other day, I purchased a black ink cartridge (the correct one for the printer) and inserted it as normal into the computer. However, when I go to use the printer, it says that the ink cartridge isn’t detected, including the colour one that I haven’t touched and have used frequently since I first inserted it in. It is connected to an iMac computer. Please, do you have any ideas on how I can resolve this ? Many Thanks
My printer, which has never had a problem until now, suddenly thinks the blank ink cartridge is incompatible. I have tried taking out the cartridge and putting it back in, tried unplugging it from the wall, and from the tower. What else do you guys suggest?
Its an HP Deskjet F4180

I was about to print a grayscale document when the computer alerted me that there was no more ink left in the color cartridge. The only options I had were either to replace the color cartridge (with ink) or stop printing altogether. This was rather annoying since the document I was about to print didn’t NEED color.
Is there ANY way I could print my document using JUST the black ink cartridge? Is there any component I could install in my computer to override this trivial matter?
I need the ink refill cartridge. I got this pen recently, and can’t find the refill cartridges online.
10 pts. if you can find me a URL for ordering the refill ink cartridge.
Thanks.
I need a new ink cartridge, but I don’t want to make a mistake on the kind I need. I have no sense when it comes to printers and computers. Could someone who is computer/printer literate please help me??
I refilled the ink cartridge but the printer software keeps saying that the cartridge is empty. its still detecting the old ink level which is supposedly empty (its now refilled). now i can’t print even though there’s ink! help!
Where ( which local retailer) can I find a REASONABLY priced black ink cartridge (#45 - black) for my HP Deskjet printer?
I find it ridiculous to have to pay over .00 for a small 42 ml cartridge of black ink. I browse a few local electronics retailers (Best Buy / Circuit City / Radio Shack) and office supply stores (Office Depot / Office Max) to find no prices anywhere near reasonable.
Thanks for all suggestions.
I wanted to buy an ink kit but just wanted to know if anyone has ever refilled an hp 60 ink cartridge at home. You know with the syringes and bottles of ink. Thanks!
My HP all in one C4180 is not responding since I put a recycled ink cartridge in.It did notice that it wasn’t genuine and just said it couldn’t montor ink levels. All documents are waiting in a print queue.
Help!
I just bought a new all-in-one printer, scanner and copier. It’s an HP Deskjet F2110. However, I put a 74 ink cartridge in it and it’s stuck and won’t come out. Obviously it’s the wrong one, since the printer does not recognize it (yeah, stupid, I know, but Wal-Mart had them sitting in the same display with the printers; I though it was the one that went with it). So, how do I get it out? I’ve tried everything! Even prying it out with butter knives! Any suggestions?
How to keep printing when an Epson Stylos R310 says "Replace ink cartridge" while the printing quality is still perfect? I suspect they tend to push to buy news ones, but without the printer overheating I surely can print more. Or sometimes just need to print in black but the magenta is off it blocks… Very frustating!
I replaced the black ink cartridge in my printer and followed the prompts in the printer box for alignment, but only completed 1 of 2 tasks. The printer declared the alignment "invalid" and said it would use the "default" alignment. It is off; I lose the bottom half of the last sentence on each page, or every alternate page, when I print. I tried re-inserting the ink cartridge, but the printer did not prompt me to do a re-alignment. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!!
I have a Lexmark 8350 all in one and I just installed a new ink cartridge but it still says low ink. The cartridge I installed is a refilled one does that make a difference? It prints just fine, it just says low ink when it’s not.
I used up all the blue in my Lexmark 26 ink cartridge, and the rest of the colors, magenta and yellow, are still full. I need to change the ink so I can print out something else, but what do I do with this one? I feel like it is such a waste… ink cost a Lot!
I’ve just refilled I want to reset my ink cartridge in the printer so that i can keep track of the ink levels.
Could someone give me instructions on how to do that with that cartridge?
I just replaced my old ink cartridge for my hp psc 1350v. I aligned the cartridge after it prompted me to, but every time I turn on my computer it asks me to align it again. Even if I close the box it aligns it anyways. I’m sure I have aligned it seven times. Please help!
I need to refill my HP Photosmart D5360 ink cartridge with both black and color ink and would like to know where I can buy the ink wholesale so that I don’t have to keep refilling the cartridges at the store where they charge me a piece. I’d rather fill them up myself. Please help.
I plan on making a multitude of copies. Like 100 copies of a 5-6 page packet. And I plan on doing this monthly. My printer can make copies at my own expense of ink, paper, and time. Or, I can pay a store such as the UPS store to do it for me. I just want to know what would be cheaper.
A six page packet cost black and white at the UPS store. Does anyone know, roughly, how many pages of text and a few pictures I could get out of an inkjet black ink cartridge. Much appreciated.
I want to buy a generic ink cartridge b/c I don’t have time to wait to order one from dell. I know there are compatible ones that dell won’t tell you about.
The printer showed an alarm saying that I should replace the ink-cartridge. It stop printing. BUT there is still some ink / toner in the cartridge! Is there any way I can make the printer continue printing till the cartridge has REALLY run out of ink?
I know that in some models you can cover with a sticker some electronic elements, and this do the trick. But how can I continue using my Brother dcp-7010 in spite of the alarm? (please note that it is not only an alarm, the printer does not print - it’s blocked).
I have a HP C4280 printer that uses Hp 74 ink cartridges and I want to refill it my self. I heard that there are two types of ink but which kind does the HP 74 black ink cartridge take?
I thought the ink cartridge I bought was dry, so I went & bought a new one. After checking everything, the problem was with the printer, not with the ink cartridges. Now, everything is fixed, but I have 2 opened ink cartridges: one is in the printer & the other one I want to save it (they cost a lot of money to waste it!!!). In order to use the new one, you must peel a kind of tape. I peeled the tape in both cartridges!!!! How can I save one of them, so the ink will no go dry?
I just got done with my homework and my printer is out of ink. How do I know which ink cartridge number to buy? I looked all over my printer and didn’t find any information on it.

I know it won’t be exact but I am wondering if I should buy a new black ink cartridge for my lexmark printer or just run copies off for 10 cents at office max? About how many pages does a black ink cartridge print?
Is there different kinds of ink cartridges for just certain printers? Like, can I just go into office max or something and just buy any ink cartridge for my printer? If not, how do I know which one to buy?
I have a HP printer all-in-one.I put the ink cartridge in my printer.I printed 18 pictures. The ink is almost finished. Is it normal? It says that the level of ink is only estimated. And actualy ink level may vary.
I put the ink an hour ago!
How do cannon makes their ink cartridges that no other ink cartridge will work with their printers? My refiled cartridge didn’t working and printer software says it’s can’t recognized it.
Recently, I bought brand new ink cartridges from ebay for my Epson Stylus C40UX printer at a great price; at least for what I thought I was getting; I believed that the cartridges would be 100% filled to capacity. When I installed 1 of them, the ink level indicator read that the cartridge was only half full.
After looking at some sites on the Internet, I see that there are many occurances of this situation; people buying brand new ink cartridges, expecting them to be completely filled, but finding out otherwise. My question is how can you tell, when buying a new, unopened ink cartridge, how full it is?
Also, if you have any other guidelines for buying ink cartridges, or tips on refilling cartridges (which I’ve never done), you can include that as well. Thank you.
I am in ink cartridge retail business and I am planning to stock some toner cartridge in the store for retail. With limited budget, I can only stock the toner cartridges in better demand on the market. Would you please advice me the popular toner cartridge models in Canadian market? Or where I can find this information?
