I recently bought a HP printer. Included was a HP 22 cartridge, I also purchased a HP 21 cartridge. It says I need a HP 58 cartridge for printing photos. Do I really need that or is the ink I have okay to use?

Is there any reason I cannot use my CANON ink refill pack on an HP Printer? I have about dollars worth of refill ink that I inject inot my old Canon printer ink cartiges. My Canon printer died. I have a new HP.
Already out of ink on th HP and am thinking of injecting the Canon ink?
Any major reason why I cannot do this?
