Question by NA: Is there a way for me to uninstall my Lexmark printer after I have disconnected it from my computer?
I ended up disconnecting and throwing away the Lexmark printer before I uninstalled it from my laptop. Therefore, there is no way for me to reconnect that printer to my laptop. Thanks.

Just replaced a Lexmark #23 with a Lexmark #32 cartridge on my Lexmark X4530 printer. And I had to put a piece of tape over the right side bottom tab to get passed the error. Now it works fine. Thanks for the tip.
i just refilled my cartride at walgreens and when i try to print something it says i gota replace the cartridge any suggestions
To follow up on this video, I’ve found that after a lot of frustration with the printer I just decided to go to walmart and buy a cheap new printer. I’m just going to avoid Lexmark printers in the future.

Lexmark made the wireless setup easy vis the enclosed computer CD installation program. I liked the automatic two sided printing too. Included in the box are extended life ink cartridges. Usually with a new printer you get limited yield cartridges.
I was able to scan pictures remotely via the wireless connection…very slick. I haven’t tried the fax yet but the copy features work fine. The power is supplied via cord directly to the printer….no transformer to trip over. Print quality is good, typical ink jet. The box said the warranty is 5 years with registration. I had a Lexmark two printers ago and had trouble 3 times. Lexmark replaced the printer with a new on each time with shipping both ways at their expense.

I don’t do a ton of printing so print quality and reliability are the things most important to me. So after a bunch of research I bought the Lexmark X7675.
All-in-ones tend to be a jack of all trades but a master of none, but this one seemed better than average.
Set-up was a breeze. I liked the wireless setup to cut down on cord clutter.
The print quality is good. Colors reproduce pretty much faithfully. Scan, copy fax functions work as expected.
The button panel is well laid out and logical, the display screen is bright and easy to read.
Although print quality is good, if you do a lot of printing or are in a big hurry you might be somewhat disappointed. It seems to take an awfully long time before print jobs even start and then once they do it is not particularly fast.
My only major disappointment was when I went to print labels for the first time. I got an error that said “unsupported paper type”. These are standard, ordinary sheet labels that I have printed lots of times on other printers. When I contacted Lexmark support about this I was told I would have to purchase Lexmark brand labels in order for it to work.
So if you are not looking for a workhorse and don’t mind being forced to buy Lexmark labels it is otherwise a decent printer.

I used to think rave reviews like this were planted by the manufacturer. Now I know otherwise. After suffering for a year with the horrid HP c7280, I finally decided to ditch it and get a new one. It was a tough decision, especially considering that I’d read really bad reviews of nearly all the Lexmark printers, except for the X7675, which Amazon barely seems to recognize. So I agonized for two weeks to find a suitable replacement that had all the same features as my HP but with quality ink that did not smear or bleed after drying. I finally made the leap and got the Lexmark after a successful “test drive” at a local Staples store. The Lexmark X7675 is all the HP was and more. I say “more” because it also comes with an unbelievably simple and easy setup and unobtrusive software package. All the features of an HP multifunction with none of the bloated software and way better ink quality that does not bleed, run, or smear after it dries. Who could ask for more??? It feels like falling in love again after coming out of a horrible break-up!

I just bought the Lexmark X7675 pro after a couple of months of research. i have had it for 10 days and it has ben awesome so far. Although I received prompt and courteous tech support on the phone to help me set it up… it really was a breeze. The printer now is within a wireless network and prints from three vista PC’s, an XP home PC and a MacBook Pro. Total installation time on all 5 computers 74 min.
The print quality is good, copying and faxing is great and I love the auto duplexor that saves a ton of paper and trees.
The only con so far..slow response time to commence printing takes about 15 sec. Overall I am really happy with my buy. Other AIO’s that are worth looking are HP Officejet J6480 and Canon Pixma MPX 850. Well done Lexmark! I really dig the no questions asked 5 year on the phone support. something no other manufacturer offers

I really wanted to like this printer, but unfortunately, I cannot quite recommend it. Based on my experience, here are the pros and cons:
Pros
- Good features - wireless, scan, fax, copy, and print
- Good print quality (esp. photos)
- Automatic dual-sided printing (it prints on both sides without you having to turn the page over manually)
- Good tech support
Cons
- Needs better compression software for scanning, so that scanned files with decent resolution can be smaller
- Slow scanning, copying, and printing
- I had wireless issues with scanning (though wireless printing worked fine)
- Like most models in the all-in-one category, although this isn’t the biggest model, it’s still a lot bulkier than I’d like it to be (if someone can come out with a smaller/sleeker model, they could really dominate)
Based on reviews I had read on CNet and the rating on Amazon and Staples website, I decided to go with the Lexmark X7675. Unfortunately, after giving it a fair shot, I ended up returning it.
On the positive side, wireless printing worked well and was relatively quick; photo printing was very good quality. On the negative side, I don’t know if having a mac had anything to do with it, but I had some issues with the wireless feature. After initially successfully setting up the wireless connection with the printer, I subsequently had some problems with the wireless connection, that required spending a LONG time on the phone with tech support to solve. Even after tech support helped me get the wireless communication back (which involved uninstalling and reinstalling 2-3 times on separate occasions), the problem continued to recur with scanning (i.e., the printer could not wirelessly connect to my computer when I tried to scan) even though wireless printing was not a problem. In all, I probably spent 2-3 hours with tech support. They were helpful and very friendly, but there’s only so much tech support can do.
Most reviews I read didn’t focus much on scanning, but that’s an important feature for me since I’d rather just scan stuff and keep it electronically (better for the environment and less bulky than keeping paper); and scanning was the biggest problem for me. I’m pretty confident I would eventually have been able to work out the wireless scanning issue with tech support if I had had the patience to call them again (which I didn’t). While the scan quality was fine, one big problem was that there was apparently no compression software, so if you use the default resolution, the files are very large, even if you only scan in black and white. You can lower the resolution to decrease the file size (to less ridiculous, though still large, sizes), but when I did, the quality suffered.
I actually went into a Staples and scanned from a couple other brands/models onto a USB flash drive, just to compare; I found that the default resolutions on those machines took up a fair amount of memory as well (since I was only using the scan on the printers’ control panels, which did not let me control resolution–I assume that the software you upload onto your computer when you buy these models does let you control it–I couldn’t compare how much memory they took up with lower resolution), though still a lot less than the X7675. One solution which did help on the X7675 was to save files in jpg form, which seemed to take up less memory than saving them in other forms, like pdf and tiff.
Speed is another issue. It took about 10 minutes (I’m estimating–might have been longer) to copy a 14-page document. Again, good quality, but if you need to copy something in a hurry, good luck. Similarly, scanning can take a while, esp. if you play with the resolution–every time you make a change it has to rescan the document, and the annoying thing is that first it scans what’s on the glass (whether or not something is there), then it checks for anything in the feeder, which takes a long time. I could go on, but the bottom line is that you end up waiting way too long.
Also, I ordered from Newegg (who at the time, had the most competitive price) and they gave me very good service. Got the printer really fast and they let me send it back at their expense (though I had to haggle a little, since they typically do not reimburse for shipping). Looks like Amazon’s current price is pretty competitive now.
