Can I use a diff brand ink cartridge than suggested?
I have a canon printer that uses FINE ink. Is there an HP cartridge that is compatible? Or maybe a web site that shows which cartridges made by each company really are the same product with a different label.

No you have to use a canon, or canon compatible cartridge.
I assure you they are physically very different cartridges..
