Some recent lexmark printer auctions on eBay:
Lexmark’s recent launch of new all-in-one machines is divided into two groups, Home Office and Professional. Judging by its name, the Home Office series is designed for the SOHO market, but in our opinion the Professional series is better tuned to this kind of use and benefits from an extended, five-year replacement guarantee and higher capacity, XL cartridges as standard. Both groups of machines still use the same inkjet print engine, though, so you need to check out the extra features in this series and weigh them up against the higher price.

When you need a driver for a peripheral like a printer, you can usually find it on the manufacturer’s Web site. I looked on the Lexmark Web site (www.Lexmark.com) for you and could not find a Mac driver for an x1200.
I did find the “1200 series” drivers, but they are for PCs running Windows (http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/sequentialem/home/0,6959,204816596_1019285789_0_en,00.html)
These Lexmark drivers are for Macs http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/sequentialem/home/0,6959,204816596_666691854_682634834_en,00.html
But, again, the x1200 or x1270 printer isn’t on the list.
You might try hooking it up to see if it works. The Apple operating systems come loaded with a number of printer drivers built in. I don’t believe it will hurt the Mac if the printer doesn’t work. Good luck
